Startopia is a simulator game that came out in 2001 that allowed you to take control of a space station. Starting out in a small section of the station, you'd expand out into different areas while managing the needs of your guests and fighting off disease, spies, other players, and the Skrasher, which starts as a cute kitten and becomes a menacing bug monster.
