Starwars Squadrons with VR controller + mouse
Starwars Squadrons played with a custom software that allows me to play with my VR controller + mouse combo.
The idea was first to use the VR controller to have full control over the roll axis, something that can't be done with mouse+keyboard alone, but I added yaw and pitch control on it too as I found it helps with fine tuning my aim with the mouse.
SteamVR overlays are used to help me recenter and keep track of my input as I don't have any feedback for it otherwise, and that does the job well I found.
I'm quite happy with the result as I feel my gameplay is smooth, precise and responsive (not so well shown here because of the choppiness induced from recording the raw output from my VR headset !).
There is smoother footage recorded here but without the overlay shown : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeJmVVEOHNc

It is not intended to be useable/compilable outside of my specific hardware/software setup and don't follow good standard coding practices ! But is provided for study purposes nonetheless.
