Now that we've got all the plot out of the way, it's time for this game to really get awesome! Seriously, these last three episodes are probably my favorite, and the most intense, sections of the entire game.
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is sequel to Amnesia: The Dark Descent developed by The Chinese Room (makers of Dear Esther). Leaning more on narrative than survival to create a horror ambience, A Machine for Pigs engages similar themes to Dark Descent set in Industrial Revolution Era London instead of a gothic castle. Our children have been trapped far below the surface with Frankenstein'd PigMen and a mysterious caller is our only contact in racing down to save them, restarting sabotaged machinery along the way. But at what cost?
