Steam Deck Dock - TV Out - External Monitor - Desktop Mode - Resolution Tutorial
This is a more all in one tutorial that will guide you to use a Steam Deck Dock (well not a Dock per se since we will be using a USB-C PD (Power Delivery) Hub. Since Valve is delaying its official Steam Deck Dock we will lock at other (sometimes even cheaper). Alternatives.
You can use the TV Out function in Game Mode from the steam Deck, but you will be locked at the default 1280x800 resolution. In order to achieve resolutions up to 4K (that your external display might support), you will need to switch to Desktop Mode.
In this tutorial you will how this is done. You can check the timestamps if you look for something particular.
