More about switching the trigger finger to the left hand: I have come to dub this "guitar-style" trackpad control. Much like how you would play a guitar by fretting strings with one hand and picking them with the other, when you do the same for "playing" the trackpad, you enable much more expression and control, while improving ergonomics. Almost no one willingly plays a guitar one-handed unless they're doing it for the lulz. Even most one-handed people don't play the guitar one-handed.
