Think I'm getting better and better with it. Aim Assist is disabled. The key is to use trackball mode, reduce the vertical scale and *increase* smoothing on the trackpad. The trackpad covers the gross rotational movements, while gyro takes care of finer aim.

I've also refined the way I hold the Deck, starting to use the meat of my left palm as a solid anchor on which to "stabilize" the gyro.
