In the latest Steam Client update it looks like there's a few interesting things.
The big one is PER GAME performance settings!
Also good: the ability to output the native 1280x800 resolution when docked. Hopefully screen mirroring is coming soon!

Still not fixed:
Cloud Saves for all games - games like Tomb Raider won't read the desktop version of the cloud save.
Keyboard overlay having missing keys (Like the ESC key!)
