Upgraded my 512GB Steam Deck OLED to a 2TB SSD.

SSD is from my OG Steam Deck LCD. SSD swap is straightforward and worked right away.

This is how I did the SSD swap -


1. Turn off the Steam Deck.
2. Remove the 8 screws at the back using the correct torx bit size.
3. Once the 8 screws are removed, use a pick to carefully pry the back cover.
4. Remove the back cover.
5. Use the same torx bit size to remove the 2 screws on the metal plate.
6. Use a spudger to lift the release tab and remove the cable on the left side of the metal plate.
7. Carefully lift the metal plate to have access to the SSD.
8. Use the same torx bit size to unscrew the SSD.
9. Carefully remove the SSD and the aluminum foil covering the SSD.
10. Transfer the aluminum foil to the new SSD and screw the new SSD back in place.
11. Screw the metal plate back in place.
12. Reconnect the cable and put the lever down to secure the cable back in place.
13. Put the back plate and screw it in place.
