SteamPunk Doll Dies - Frame Drops | Broken Puppet Gameplay
3Hi Friends! I'm Cody and I hope you enjoy the Broken Puppet Gameplay in my Frame Drops series!
So Broken Puppet is an interesting one for a few reasons. It's part third person, almost over-the-shoulder action game, part puzzler with an interesting story. I quite enjoyed it.
So you play Katherine, a (horrifying to me) doll who has the spotlight in her particular show. But after a lot of time passes her beauty fades and she eventually gets replaced, presumably with an identical doll. Which is strange to me because they're aware of the fact that they're the same? Because she doesn't look at her replacement and wonder why she looks the same, or question anything really. I'm not sure what's up with that.
But where I really liked things was the Broken Puppet Gameplay, it's really interesting. Not fully polished but I like the idea of using the sewing needles and thread to connect things and tighten the tension on them. The platforming and jumping mechanics could use some work for sure, but I think the focus was on the main mechanic. Overall I enjoyed this game even with the crash on the final boss that made me stop playing.
