Do original Xbox and Mech games work in VR? Well don your HMD and find out in the most complex Rift capture I have done in a long time, this is Steel Battalion how we always wanted to play it and also one of the most impressive Rift experiences I have had. This is not done via emulation. There is an Xbox Crystal running the game hooked up to the Line Of Contact controller you can see me using in the video. Couldn't film the pedals though! So once again we are testing VR controller blindness , the face cam and controller cams are there to show devs (like me) how I adapt and cope to controller blindness. I have had Steel Battalion and two LOCs since they originally came out, cannot believe I finally got round to doing this. There is a point I get stuck in some scenery but it all starts coming back to me . A whole lot more Xbox and Steel Battalion VR coming up . View on any VR HMD... oh and Palmer open VR FTW ! Now if only Palmer knew how to do this we could play VR LOC over the interweb and he could make up for that VR Hawken battle he owes me from 2012... see you in the game P
