XCOM 2 : Oculus Rift 5K res gaming with dual head trackers
The first HMD method I used to play XCOM2 , using Virtual Desktop I am playing at 5120 by 1600, scaled to the Rifts display and captured as 1080p. Check out the size of the Avenger ! You will see some slow down in the capture here, but this will not happen in game when you are playing without the additional strain of capturing the game. Just one method of many I am looking at to HMD augment how we can play games like XCOM2 , the cursor moves with Zeiss head tracking, the screen pans with Rift sensor tracking. I am actually testing capture methods here, using OBS, how we share CV1 and Vive Pre gameplay is going to be a big issue as so much of the future of VR or at least it's PR hinges on this. In today's world if content cannot be created or shared easily then the coolest tech like those 8 tracks .. fades away as niche ...right JC?
