Very smooth - edge is a nice touch
Didn't know what to expect. I've had some pricey pads in the past. I'm very pleased. It is very smooth to the feel, but when you move the mouse you feel the resistance, which is really nice. As opposed to using a heavy mouse with weights I've dropped down to a light mouse and this pad. So much more comfortable and effortless to use the mouse. This is a big change. I have always used a heavy mouse on a slick surface. Definitely an exchange for the better.
One note I'll make is that, while I did do measurement before ordering, I slapped the pad down on my desk and immediately thought it's too big. It's been a month and I've settled into the size and I would get the same size again.
