In this ship building tutorial I take you step by step through the process of building my re-creation of the Serenity Ship Disguised as a Reaver Ship as seen in the movie.
Aside from a few choice parts which can only be obtained at certain places, the majority of this build takes place at a Player Outpost Landing Pad with Ship Builder.
The main focus of this build was RP however it is functional and is designed with smuggling in mind. Crew is easily upgraded to 7 by switching out one of the habs for a control station.
The habs used are chosen in attempt to capture the flavor and feel of Serenity's interior from the Firefly show.
With over 620 Hours clocked in the game and all but 3 achievements unlocked, I'm no expert on the game and I'm only human. There's a zillion youtubers showing you builds on the level 120 NG+ character using parts which not obtainable at lower levels - I'm not one of them, I try to do builds that are assessable to lower level players in the earlier game stages. So feel free to upgrade your build with higher level parts, but please do NOT lecture me about what you can do with level 120 NG plus character as that's not relevant to the point of my content. All other feedback is greatly appreciated.
This is a Level 29 Build. Rank 4. Piloting, Rank 4 Starship Design But can be done with Rank 1 Starship Design if you use the UC Reef for its Grav Drive and Reactor.
C Class, using the UC Reef as starting base ship
(Obtained during a Piracy Mission from the Crimson Fleet mission Board - Cost me roughly 50k registration & bounty fees combined)
The UC Reef comes with a J 50 Gamma Grav Drive which you can't from ship techs until level 54.
However you can use whatever ship you can get your hands on as long as you can get your hands on a J-50 Gamma Grav Drive, SF 20 Sheared Flow Reactor & 102D Guardian Shield Generator.
2 (optional) parts which I've used just for decoration (Comspike & Conduction Grid) Can only be obtained at the Key and are only available after completing certain parts of the Crimson Fleet storyline("The Best There Is" & "Absolute Power").

If you're not worried about those 2 parts and can get your hands on the grav drive and reactor (or better ones) elsewhere then access to the Crimson Fleet's Key is not required.
Depending Weapons Loadout/ base starting ship you will need between 250 to 300k to complete the build.
The exterior has been tweaked since my previous screenshots and video of the prototype, however the interior remains the same.
