The first couple years of the 21st century belonged to the St. Louis Rams. The Greatest Show on Turf was led by future Hall of Famers such as Kurt Warner, and Marshall Faulk. By 2004, however, Faulk was in his 30s, and had been dealing with some injuries. As a result, the Rams decided to trade up in order to get themselves a replacement for Faulk, in Steven Jackson.
For anyone wondering, it did not feel right to say "Los Angeles Rams" when referring to Steven Jackson's tenure with the team. He was great in St. Louis.

Steven Jackson was drafted to be the replacement for Marshall Faulk. The Rams had swung a blockbuster trade to acquire Faulk five years prior. https://youtu.be/dV8zTRYanLY
During this trade, I referenced the Corey Dillon (4:25) trade. This trade will be looked at in the future.
