6In April of 1999, one of the most important trades in NFL history happened. In Indianapolis, the Colts had a talented young quarterback named Peyton Manning. He was coming off of a horrible rookie season, but he showed flashes. They also had an elite running back, who demanded the ball (because of how good he was). He was holding out for a new contract. Not too far away in St. Louis, the Rams had a strong offense put together. They were missing one thing: a running back. The two teams were able to agree to a trade...and honestly, everyone won.
