Stone Wawku Tower Shrine Inverted - Okami/Majora's Mask Mix
When it comes to the Stone Tower, I’ve always been reminded of Wawku Shrine from “Majora’s Mask” due to how both dungeons are towers in structure, have an air of mystery to them and were built by civilizations that have long since disappeared.
With the Stone Tower, we know that it was built by the same race that created Majora’s Mask, as seen by how the tower’s entranceway bears a striking resemblance to it when it’s been turned upside-down, but why did they build it? Judging by how the platforms used to reach the temple each have a Triforce on their rears, it could be theorized that this ancient race constructed the tower in an attempt to reach the three goddesses of Hyrule and then fight them with the giant’s mask and the help of the four giants of Termina (which could potentially be summoned from the top of the Stone Tower much like how they’re summoned from atop the clock tower in Clock Town). However, much like the infamous Tower of Babel in real life, the Din, Nayru, and Farore didn’t take too kindly to this act of defiance, but instead of dividing the civilization by preventing them from speaking a shared language, they flipped the tower upside down, thus dooming the race to wander the desert dimension that Twinmold is fought in.
