Another pet peeve of mine... if a knife is advertised as "razor sharp" I expect it to damn well shave hair, anything else is just irritating. I've handled a number of knives that were advertised as razor sharp and were barely able to cut paper. WTF?

Personally I like to make a distinction between "razor sharp" and "shaving sharp". I use the former for edges that are so finely honed that they could shave facial hair cleanly and comfortably, and the latter for edges that are not quite that smooth and sharp but can still shave body hair without much discomfort.
