Storming Summit (Extreme Demon) by Nimbus (On stream) - Geometry Dash [144hz]
I played Celeste back in the Spring/Summer of 2021, and it easily became one of my favorite games of all time. Therefore, I was hyped as fuck to play this level.
Unfortunately, I found it to be a major disappointment.
This level took me a literal month to beat, with a multiple week period of zero progress. I have never mindblocked this way on something... probably ever. The level looks phenomenal, obviously, unfortunately I had to play it on low detail. The gameplay, however, was some of the most garbage fucking gameplay I've ever touched on the main list. It is filled to the absolute fucking brim with bad choke points and fucked up hitboxes.
It all started at the 13% ship for me, which was always RNG, but thats maybe a refresh rate issue. The ship orbs at 19% were very fucking stupid, you have to be really damn specific on the blue orb timing and its a major pain in the ass. Wesp's entire part was horse shit, mainly the wave and the triple spike timing at the end, which is WAY harder than it looks, at least on 144. A lot of people complain about the part from 30%-40%, but I found it mostly fine, with the exception of a fucked hitbox in the slow mini wave, which I died to a few times from 0. Yakob's part got pretty consistent, the only thing that pissed me off towards the end was another fucked hitbox right before the coin. Once I learned about this hitbox though, I don't recall dying to it again. The part at 48% was alright, but dying to the spider as much as I did really infuriated me. The 57% part was mostly fine, it was really only the cube timings towards the end that were inconsistent with nerves. The part at 65% until the dual was super fuckin ass. The 65% ship transition was super weird, the ball timing was dumb, the highish cps ufo, and then the dumbass wave at the end was just bad. The dual was ok, but you can very easily choke everywhere in the part. The dash orb at 85% does not get consistent whatsoever, but somehow I never died to it from 0. The 86% ship transition was fucked, not much else to say about it. The click at 85% is another major choke point that I somehow didn't die at from 0. The last wave for the coin is full of dumb clicks. The part in general has a few invisible speed changes, which really fuck with you. Putting invisible speed changes in the middle of actual gameplay is almost never a good idea. And all of this combined make what is now one of my new least favorite main list demons. I really wouldn't recommend this, it's really not worth your time. Only if you're skill level is a lot higher than what is required, and if you play on AT LEAST 240fps.
