Story Breakdown: On the Ball & Cameltry (Super NES & Arcade) - Defunct Games
When we last checked in with Game Over, we spent more than an hour recapping the story and ending of Snatcher, a convoluted adventure game with one of the longest (and craziest) 16-bit conclusions you'll ever see. For the follow-up episode, I wanted something a bit shorter, simpler and less taxing. That's why we're going to talk about On the Ball, the platformer/racing game hybrid from Taito where the only plot twist is the level spinning around a marble trying to find its way to the exit. What it lacks in story it more than makes up for with endings. Lots and lots of endings. In fact, it has so many endings that one of Taito's biggest stars even gets in on the action. Turn back now if you don't want to know what happens next, because today we're spoiling the story and ending for On the Ball on the Super Nintendo. This is Game Over: The Early Years!
