Strain Review Sesh! || Purple Gushers by Teal Cannabis!
2Hello! It is Wednesday, my dudes. And it's time to get into another strain review! Today's review is the gram I picked up on 4/20. Purple Gushers by Teal Cannabis that I got from Bloom Medicinals.
Purple Gushers is a cross of Gushcanna #4 x Purple Sunset. Apparently I mis-spoke in the video about the lineage. This batch has a total Cannabinoid of 81.78% with total THC at 68.95% and total CBD at .31%. It also contains some CBG at a total of about 1.2% with trace amounts of other Cannabinoids, CBC, CBDV, and THCVa. The Terpenes on this test out to 6.73% with b-Caryophyllene at 2.29%, b-Myrcene at 1.63%, a-Humulene at .75%, Nerolidol 2 at .71%, d-Limonene at .57%, and Linalool at .44%. There are also trace amounts of Geraniol, Isopulegol, Guaiol, and Camphene.
The smell is very funky. It has layers of herbal citrus sweetness and musk that come across as a very sour and musky citrus fruit. The flavor, at a lower temp, comes across as quite sweet and fruity. It creates a very candied grape and herbal citrus flavor. As the temp goes up, those really funky notes come out more. At around 525-550F or so you'll be tasting it almost exactly as it smells. I personally have a preference for about 475-500F.
The effects on this strain are relaxing and borderline sedative with some uplifting and relaxing euphoric aspects to it, as well. Despite having so much Myrcene, it wasn't too overwhelming with the cerebral effects. I found it to work very well for an unwinding and relaxing strain but not being quite enough for a bed time strain, for me. It did, however, work wonderfully for pain relief, influenced my appetite, helped with mood and overall mental health, and could potentially help people with sleep. Just depending on how you interact with Myrcene and the rest of the terps. Overall a great strain and this product is very likely a great example of it too.
