THANK YOU GUYS FOR 1K SUBSCRIBERS. I appreciate all of you, and can't wait to create more builds! This build may not be super popular, but it puts a fun spin on an underpowered exotic. With the buffs to Threadlings next season, this will be super fun to use!

Bladefury is the only super that we can use, but it works really well in this build for sticky situations, since it can melt champs and shut down rushes. You can choose either barricade for this build, but I prefer to use Rally Barricade for the weapon bonuses that it provides. Frenzied Blade is the only melee choice we have, but it severs enemies for better survivability. For the grenade ability, you have two choices. I personally ran with Shackle Grenade because it can provide breathing room in tough areas. However, if you prefer to move freely, I would suggest using Grapple. Both are excellent choices.

Aspect-wise, we’re looking at using Flechette Storm and Into the Fray. Flechette Storm allows us to perform a sliding melee, attack and chain together inputs to throw unraveling projectiles at enemies. Each activation costs 50% of a full melee charge, and we are granted 25% damage resist from non melee attacks while in the animation. Into the Fray causes Tangles we destroy to send out pulses every 2 seconds for 6 seconds that provide us and allies Woven Mail, and heal for 10 hp. Also, while we have Woven Mail active we receive 400% additional base melee regen rate.

The fragments for this build are Thread of Evolution, Finality, Generation, and Rebirth. Evolution causes Threadlings to travel about 30% faster and further, and make them deal 33% more damage. Finality causes finishers to spawn threadlings, with the amount scaling with the combatant type. Generation grants grenade ability energy for each damage instance. Rebirth causes strand weapon kills to spawn threadlings base on an internal counter system. If you don’t want to rely on weapons for gremlins, consider using Thread of Fury instead of Thread of Rebirth for more melee uptime.

Let’s cover the gremlin suit.

On the helmet, I used Special Ammo Finder, Harmonic Siphon, and Arc Siphon. Arc Siphon can be switched out for Heavy Ammo Finder

For the gloves, I went with Grenade Kickstart, Momentum Transfer, and Bolstering Detonation.

With Severance Enclosure, I equipped Harmonic Reserves, Melee Damage Resistance, and a variable resistance mod.

On the boots, I chose to go with Recuperation, Absolution, and Harmonic Scavenger.

And on the mark, was Proximity Ward, Reaper, and Outreach. Reaper can be swapped for Distribution for more ability energy if you’d like.

100 Resilience is a must for this build purely for survivability. Our ability to survive heavy gunfire comes down to our it, and other forms of damage resist. Having Proximity Ward on this build is non-negotiable due to the fact that it grants us a 200 hp overshield while in the finisher animation. Combine this with the 60% damage resist that we get inherently when performing one, we get a much bigger safety net.

Let’s move on to the weapon loadout section.

Weapon Loadout One uses my favorite trace rifle, the Navigator, and is the tanky build I prefer. Of course, Navigator will take up our kinetic slot and helps us stay alive long enough to use finishers on combatants. If you choose to go this route, I highly encourage trying to use Grapple in conjunction with the Navigator’s catalyst for some goofy plays. In the energy slot, I am using Posterity due to it being able to roll with Voltshot. Next season, this thing is gonna be a beast, and I am already a fan. In the heavy slot, I am using Koraxis’s Distress. This rapid-fire frame grenade launcher can roll with Hatchling and makes for good ad clear.

Weapon Loadout Two is for those who want to use Thread of Rebirth instead of Thread of Fury. In the kinetic slot, I subbed out the Navigator for Quicksilver Storm. This auto rifle has surprisingly good DPS, and with the grenade launcher mode, can really melt high-priority targets. Forbearance will be our energy weapon, since it can soften a lot of enemies in a line, priming them for finishers. For the heavy weapon, I used Hothead, since it’s a good answer to a lot of problems.

The gameloop of the build is simple. Shoot things until you see a finisher icon. If said thing does have a finisher icon, finish it. Rinse and repeat. Seriously, with the amount of Threadlings being spawned, you’ll soften, or outright kill the many other units closing in. If you are in a bad spot, try to finish something, the overshield provided by Proximity Ward makes you near unkillable.
