Stream: Queer Games Bundle 2022 showcase pt3
0The Queer Games Bundle on Itch.io is back for Pride Month 2022, directly supporting queer creators with a huge bundle of games and things. I took a look through the 588 items included and picked out 21 games that I wanted to show off. Some of the creators even joined me in chat, which was awesome! On this stream I finished off my list, playing some great games. Games played:
-Sunshower, by NOKOGODO. This arcadey game riffs on the WarioWare minigame Pyoro, adding some extra mechanics and a story with a nice watercolour art style. I played a few runs.

-Taipei Metro Quest, by hellodri. This Bitsy adventure is a nostalgic journey into the past of its creator, Dri. It adds surreal touches to a hometown visit, and has some really cool Bitsy effects. I played through to the end.

-The Gardener and the Wild Vines, by Finite Reflection. This 2.5D platformer has you climbing a tower by air-lunging through flowers, bouncing off leaves, and overcoming lots of magical contraptions to find your princely love. It's got a nice pixel art style on 3D backdrops including a neat rotating tower effect, an interesting story, and very smooth movement mechanics. I got about halfway through the second world.

-WoRMeR Deluxe, by QuietCave. This retro-style Metroidvania has some cool mechanics (gravity flipping, a controllable block) and sweet chiptunes, and doesn't outstay its welcome. I finished it but missed a lot of optional stuff.

-The Yurivania trilogy, by MxAshlynn. These homebrew GBC adventure games about a supportive community of monstergirls are very wholesome. As you platform around the palace solving inventory puzzles you meet lots of friendly monsters rendered in adorable pixel art. In parts 0 and 1 you play as Stheno the Gorgon, finding lost ghosts and helping your plant girlfriend move in with you. In part 2 the vampire Josette sets out to build housing for all her vampire friends. I played all three to completion.
