I try out the sequel to Zool, one of many attempted mascot platformers of its generation. The increased screen real estate is welcome, as is the introduction of playable girl ninja Zooz. Once again there are fun themes to the worlds and lots of goodies to collect, but the enemy spam and slippery control give this a high level of difficulty. I got a game over halfway through world 3, and gave up, planning to return another day with the Jaguar version. But I did manage to show off some of the unique features of this CD32 release: redbook audio, FMV cutscenes, and an entire new world (Paper Plains) added to the start of the game.
