Street Fighter EX2 Plus [PS1] - Vega II (playthrough)
This is a play-through using Vega II / Bison II in the PS1 version of Street Fighter EX2 Plus. Read on below for more information...
Vega II is a hidden final boss in the game. He is an unplayable character.
===== About Bison II / Vega II =====
He is the more powerful version of Bison. As well as having all of regular Bison's moves, Bison II gains two new Super Combos, the Psycho Cannon G and the Psycho Cannon B. His Psycho Cannon projectiles can be charged up to massive sizes for more hits and more energy depletion. His Psycho Crusher is faster as well, and he has an infinite super combo gauge.
===== Additional Information =====
---- No matter which background you're fighting in, if Vega II is on it then it will always have the dramatic dark background and lighting effects. It is the same lighting effects used when a Meteor Combo is being performed.
---- He is physically larger than regular Vega.
---- His Command List name reads '???', but the moves listed are Kairi's moves.
---- If you complete single-player Arcade mode with him, you'll get Kairi's portrait image and ending text.
---- He is programmed in as an actual separate character in the game's data.
---- Despite being a 'separate' character in the game, he seems to be programmed in a way where if Vega II is already selected by a player, and the other player selects regular Vega with the same button, it will register regular Vega with an alternative colour palette.
---- Vega II has the exact same 3 costumes/colour palettes (red, black and green) as regular Vega. The special white costume/colour is CPU-only and cannot be selected in the normal manner.
===== About PS1 SFEX2P =====
This is one of the best fighting games on the PS1. Apart from the loading times and lower graphics quality, this is generally better than the arcade version, mainly because it has more features and modes. It uses a remixed AST soundtrack for it's music themes, but unfortunately it does not offer an option of using the original OST arcade tracks. The PS1 port also sees the return of the character Hayate, who mysteriously went missing for the arcade version.
