Strider (2014) - Final Boss + Platinum #27
3Ah, the new Strider game. Just like Guacamelee last year, I was hooked the second I unlocked my first ability. From there all the way to the end on my first attempt, my mind was made up. I had to go for 100% in this game. It was calling out to me and I had to answer the challenge.
On the real though, this was on Easy difficulty cause (1) I don't like speed runs, (2) I wanted a easier path to get the speed run trophy and (3) there's a phase during the final boss that I can't figure out a way to beat it faster. If you saw the way I fought the boss on Normal and Hard, you'd understand.
I'm sure that with enough practice, I could beat this game just as fast and legitimately on Normal difficulty. But for now, enjoy the ending of a great game. I've never played the Strider games (I want to play Strider 2 on PS1 badly though but PSN is dicking around), though this was an awesome experience. I recommend you buy this game on the PS3, PS4, X360 and X-One when you can. A fan of old-school, retro, arcade games? Look no further than Strider.
