Put 2 fletchers' workshop, invest the first oasis with wheat farms, buy a tons of wood so you can have a decent population for mass production of bread, woodcutters on the 2nd oasis so trees don't grow too much on it.

Start the construction of a protective wall around your first oasis, recruit archers & defend it against the first rush.
After the rush rebuild the woodcutters you lost & start investing the second oasis simply join the wall you've made with the first oasis to protect the second.

At some point reduce the rations of your population to save bread to complete the mission, you can do it by using ale/bribes.
