Many studies in recent years have shown that many network, such as the Internet and the WWW, as well as other technological, bilogical, and social networks are scale free networks. That is, they posses a power-law degree distribution. I will discuss the topological properties of generalized and scale free random networks, their stability under various form of node failures and attacks, and immunization of networks against virus spreading. I will also discuss several other related network models.
