With the proper FOV you can get the BEST Styx: Master of Shadows gameplay in VR

Thanks to the amazing Paradise Decay (PD) who published a video last night of this game which I had not heard of before (Check out PD's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnTahVhZvNA&t=151s)

I fell in love with Styx: Master of Shadows, so thank you PD!

Stealth games are my thang... and when played inside the headset? with the immersive scale of things? yes please!!!

This game is an older 2014 game, it was done with Unreal Engine 3 and we all prefer UE games in combination with vorpX (they work the best!).
In order to enjoy pancake games in VR using vorpX, if it is possibe, make sure to increase the game's FOV, the higher, the better! always!
In this case, I had to add a few lines of command to one of the .ini files to make the FOV more playable in VR.

So, how and where you ask...

Here goes:

1. Once installed through STEAM, Launch the game once and exit.

* If the game launches then minimizes (happened to me), there is one step you
need to do before continuing.
Leave a comment and I will help you asap!

2. After exiting the game, make sure you have vorpX loaded and check the profile
you want to use (either PD's or mine). Select it and hit import.

3. Now, go to your Windows Explorer and locate StyxGame.ini wich will be located
in your My Games folder:
C:\Users\(YOUR NAME)\Documents\My Games\Styx\StyxGame\Config

4. Backup the file (StyxGame.ini), I usually right click and then I zip or rar it

5. Open that file (StyxGame.ini) with Notepad or other test software you prefer

6. Scroll allllll the way down and paste these lines at the bottom of the text:

Bindings=(Name="F3",Command="FOV 90",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False,bIgnoreCtrl=False,bIgnoreShift=False,bIgnoreAlt=False)
Bindings=(Name="F4",Command="FOV 120",Control=False,Shift=False,Alt=False,bIgnoreCtrl=False,bIgnoreShift=False,bIgnoreAlt=False)

7. You can type in any value that you prefer for FOV, I find that low of 90 and High
of 120 works for me that best, but it is your call.

8. Click File-Save and then close the text software window.

9. Make sure vorpX in running (bottom tray would show vorpX icon)

10. Run Styx: Master of Shadows

11. Enjoy a great game in VR
