Styx Master Of Shadows. Gameplay Video. Casual Fun. Goblin Difficulty. Episode 1.
Time for some Styx, this will be a two part video until I go back into it eventually.
So Styx, it's a swearing and curse words loving Goblin who lives surrounded by another species and is trying to just go the hell away from it, while being addicted to a magical substance that he was experimented upon. And he is sarcastic... not as much as me, but he is quite the snobby and sneaky prick, which I LOVE in a character.
So Styx is the title character, with barons and diplomatic relationships and scientific experiments between Orcs, bugs and elves being the other set of enemies, alongside some magical stuff. It's kinda a dark fantasy universe with all it's standard and by the books imagined lore, but it has a rather cool character and it shines bright in it's gameplay.
This gameplay, alongside it's soundtrack, is considered to be one of the hardest in modern games... which I do not understand at all. See, Styx it's a one button game really, you press that cover button, you keep items in line, you upgrade the gear you can carry, the characters you can attract and of course this is really made for PC, let's not lie about this being intended for consoles, it wasn't, and pretty much that's Styx in a nutshell. It's a economic game like old school Mega Man or Tenchu if you want a stealth comparison, alongside having a really easy hide and seek thing going for. Also I've been interested in the Styx games ever since I watched StealthGamesBR (it's a Brazilian stealth game channel with a rather talented gamer that is not American cancer, like The Fatholic/Daniela Wannabe Harrison Ford, and me not being the racist but the misanthrope [I hate all mankind, especially when it's something I like and it doesn't make sense] I really like taking content from anywhere I can find, if it pass my remarks) play this title and kinda fell in love with what really is...
... A hardcore attempt at bringing the Tenchu days back on track, or even Thief (yeah Rageaholic, you know you're stupid when you compare this game's movement focus and item gathering to Thief's problem solving styled gameplay, but hey that's just me). So if you like stealth, this probably will be for you, and personally it's my Dark Souls really, it's a hard game that I love to play, rather than certain Dark Souls games and their bosses, which I just find annoying and would rather mod or cheat to pass by.
