Talk: Polimec a fundraising mechanism for the Polkadot ecosystem
Speaker: Ingo Rübe - CEO, BOTLabs

Polimec allows Parity Substrate based blockchains the issuance of tokens prior to main net launch, making these tokens transferable and thus providing liquidity for the Polkadot ecosystem.

Polimec is a community owned single-purpose blockchain, which can hold balances and transfer funds of multiple currencies, serving as an ERC20-like mechanism for the Polkadot ecosystem. Polimec itself is developed on Parity Substrate, which results in additional features like the seamless migration of balances to main nets, when these are also based on Substrate. Polimec is designed to be a Parathread to the Polkadot blockchain. Polimec is developed by the KILT team and supported by the Web3 foundation via a grant.
