Subaru WRX STI vs. Audi S3 | What's The Better Enthusiast Daily Driver?
89👋 Today we compare the Audi S3 to the Subaru WRX STI and see how these two affordable sporty sedans compare! What car would you rather own? The STI offers a lot of fun and drama and is a pretty raw driving experience with plenty of upgrades available. The Audi S3 is a bit smaller car still offering an all wheel drive system and a turbo engine. While it lacks some of that raw aspect and extra fun driving dynamic. The Audi S3 has a luxury refinement level that makes it very comfortable. The Audi S3 has drive modes that also effect suspension comfort and steering tightness that help it go from a comfortable luxury car to a very sporty feeling car. The STI has driving modes that only effect the engine response and turbo response. You hear more road noice in the STI and of course have a 6 speed manual tranmission. While the S3 has a dual clutch automatic and a more quiet ride. Seems like both the S3 and STI are very comparable sporty sedans that give you a lot for the money! The STI is just more on the raw side and has an extra sporty vibe while the S3 gives you more of a blend with that extra comfort aspect. S3 sacrifices some interior space and that extra drama in favor of the comfort aspects. The STI sacrifices ride quality and comfort in favor of a pure sporty driving experience. Both cars are a lot of fun and once the S3 is tuned we'll put the STI head to head with the S3 and see what car is faster tuned with modifications! Stock power levels are very similar and both have about the same power and 0-60 times, which is plenty for sporty driving and some fun! S3 styling is very conservative with sleek body lines and a classy look and the STI is more sporty with the scoops and big wing! Interior is the same with the Audi having better materials whereas the STI has the color contrast and sporty materials. You can tell the STI comes from an economy brand and the S3 comes from the luxury brand. So both cars take a different approach to create a fun sedan! Handling in the Audi is very responseive and controllable and seems super stable. The STI handles well too but you have to fight the car a bit more to achieve the same lines. So everything about the Subaru WRX STI compared to the Audi S3 is more sporty and raw feeling while the S3 has that precision a comfort aspect to how it handles turns and bumps.
