(2022-2023) Yamaha YZF R7 | Start Up, Exhaust, Walkaround, Test Ride and Review
542👋 Here it is! The all new Yamaha R7! Today I review the NEW Yamaha YZF-R7 sport bike and see how this new motorcycle is! For 2022 Yamaha has discontinued the famed R6 and put the new R7 in it's place. So this video we check out the specs on the new R7 and see what it looks like. Then I ride the new R7 to see how it rides! 2023 Yamaha R7 is the same as the 2022 R7 and this is Yamahas newest mid level super sport bike. The exterior of the YZF R7 is very nice and sharp! Team Yamaha Blue is an iconic color and I like the satan black aspects with the blue metallic flake. Great looking bike and costs about $9,000. The new R7 features a 2 cylinder 698cc engine with about 74 horsepower and 51 pound feet of torque. Significantly less power than the outgoing Yamaha R6. This new R7 seems to have the same engine out of the Yamaha MT-07. So riding the new R7 felt more like a beginner bike wrapped it an extremely tossable super sport bike body. The R7 handles very well and feels light units toes. Super quick turning and easy to take sharp turns. I like how comfortable the R7 feels. My body proportions felt great on it and I didn't have any issues with comfort. Good amount of torque in the low end of the revs and you can wheelie easy. Top end isn't that powerful and it doesn't just rip up to high speeds. Transmission is very smooth and easy to shift so it made it easy going through the gears. Since you have good low end torque you can ride in one gear for quite a bit. Only gripe is the new R7 isn't a crazy fast bike. It doesn't push you back into your seat in the high RPM like an R6. This R7 redlines around 10k RPM while the old R6 went to 16k. So it's more like an MT07 but with the handling of a sport bike. So I think the new 2023 Yamaha R7 is a good sport bike for those who are above the experience level of the Yamaha R3 but want a good sport bike for the road. Really gives you everything you'd want on the roads and it's a very usable road bike. Just lacks some of the race aspects of the R6. This would be a great beginner bike for sure! But still good for experienced riders who don't want to go crazy on the streets. This bike is pretty tame and is a good all purpose sport bike geared towards road riding.
