Welcome everybody! To Let's Play Subnautica! Season 2, Part 20! Always since the game have starter there was problem with power, there was a problem with powering tools and vehicles in #subnautica later on the developers of Subnautica have added the Moonpool with ability to charge up the Seamoth with power but other problems remind. Like powering up Cyclops or powering up the tools in Subnautica. For example like the cutter, seaglide, wilder or a flashlight. But also the standing lights since the last few updates in Subnautica. A new tool to light up caves and bottom of the sea.
But now this is no longer a problem! With improvements made to the bioreactor, nuclear reactor and new model of the solar panel we also received the one of the most useful tools in Subnautica. Chargers!
Power Cell Charger and Battery Charger are the newer furniture for Your sea base in Subnautica. Thoes awesome tools will charge all the battery's and power cells there are and allow You to unlimitedly use all the tools in Subnautica. But before You use those chargers You need to find the fragments for the blueprints.
The Battery charger blueprint is first on the list. The Battery charger fragments are in the red grass plateau. Look for the Aurora wrecks there, the smaller ones. The fragments for the battery charger are lying around. You may have to swim a little bit around to find them. As some of the battery charger fragments will be next to different devices fragments. But then again there is no point in going for the large Aurora wreck to find them.
After getting the battery charger time for the Power Cell charger, we continue to keep moving to the left side of the Aurora. So if You have the Aurora on Your right then you are in the right place. The Power cell fragments are mostly in the gigantic mushroom forest but also a few of them are in the dune and the Kosh biome in Subnautica. Searching for the Power cell fragments is more dangerous as the areas with the fragments are also home to the boneshark and Elektron-fish ? But then again the Battery charger is in a rea with sand sharks.
After getting the last fragment for the Power Cell charger let’s move back to the base and build them.
Before I heard is a Solar Panel is placed on the floder island then it will generate more power. However it counts only for the island. If You try to build the solar panels above the sea water of Subnautica it won’t help. So don’t try maybe in the future. Making a bioreactor is also a good idea if You plan to make the charger and later the moon pool as all those chargers will use a lot of energy and You need to have a bit also for Your fabricator in Subnautica. But then again remember the Bioreactor requires organic fuel to work. But no longer the Fungus but just any biomaterials both fish and plants.
Both the Power Cell charger and the battery charger take the same materials to build. An Copper wire, and Computer chip, titanium and glass. Easy to acquire resources at the beginning of the game so no need to venture in to the end game regions of Subnautica to acquire them.
However keep in mind the charging the Power Cell and battery's will take a while to do. So having a backup supply of battery's is a good idea.
