In this tutorial I cover how to make an opacity map using Substance Painter. As of the making of this video there is no way to bake an opacity map with Substance Painter like you can in Substance Designer, but there are still ways to do this. In this video I show a way to create opacity maps using ID maps. I show how to apply and bake an ID map as well as clean the jagged edges of the ID map using filters. I use Autodesk Maya and Zbrush to apply ID materials, but this can be done with any other 3D program.
