SubStation was an attempt to create a Doom type game on the limited hardware of the Atari STE. Unfortunately it also meant that Falcon owners would have to make do, as their system's market base was just too small to make a dedicated game to fulfil the hardware. Now, I use the term "DOOM Clone" lightly here, because a play quickly reveals that this isn't like DOOM, even in the vaguest sense, although it still would have delighted me in the 90s, as I searched so desperately for a Doom style game on my 16 bit home computer :'(
