Welcome to sudden strike 4, today we will be tackling the sixth mission of the Soviet campaign also known as the Balaton defensive operation with the objective of getting a three-star rating. this mission is a very challenging defensive mission so we will look at different tactics and strategies to improve our chances of surviving that portion. Some all of the strategies include using anti-tank mines TNT having a separate group of snipers as well as anti-tank rocket launchers and a separate group paired with medics. We will try to use this group for flanking maneuvers along with another separate group of tanks for flanking while trying to keep a fairly wide defensive line in place.we will try to keep the artillery somewhat spread out and protected so it can take care of oncoming attacks. since we are using the support doctrine we will also have access to smoke grenades as well as smoke discharge for the tanks and troops to try to make this more effective we will have to try to restock troops with a supply truck as much as possible. One of the other nice things about they support doctrine is we will have access to multiple rocket launchers while they use lots of supplies they can be very effective in slowing down and not coming in any advancement.
Getting a three-star rating can be quite a challenge for this mission so there's a few tips and tricks we have toward that. the first tip is laying anti-tank mines as well as TNT to get the sapper medel which is worth a lot of points. Second one can get both a backstabber and tank Hunter metal in the same way which is way more valuable than getting a pillager. Backstabber medals can be obtained by using anti-tank rocket soldiers and shooting the tanks from behind. What it is important is that several tanks enemy tanks get stuck in the mud and that's even after they're abandoned that is better to not take the pillager medal and instead shoot those tanks from behind to get a backstabber metal as well as a tank Hunter medal. Gettinga rating of three stars in this mission is all about getting points the more damage dealt and metals we get the better our chances we do lose points of course if we take the damage or losses that subtract points from our total.

Finally, we will get to go on the offensive so it's important to make sure that we have our long-range houses in place so that we can use it to take out a well-defined enemy position flanking the position is an option as well although given the terrain it's going to be very difficult to get tanks through there which makes artillery fire at least on the one end good idea. That artillery is a good idea for the right side of the screen taking out the houses as well as the anti-aircraft guns on the left side of the screen there's a heavily armament where a better strategy would be to send in bombers as well as airstrikes also known as ground attacks. Next, we can follow up with attack with tanks and anti-tank guns and anything we have left infantry as well but we got to be smart and how we do it and try to use the terrain and strengthen numbers to our advantage.
