Japanese Sum Rules: Clues outside the grid indicate the sums of the digits in shaded cells. The shaded cells must be separated by at least 1 non-shaded cell and appear in the same order as the clues.
A 3x3 magic square appears completely within the shaded region.

Color all the uncolored squares red or blue. The given purple cells count as both red and blue.
1) Red cells are all orthogonally connected to each other. Same for blue.
2) No 2x2 region is either all red or all blue.
3) Row clues are the sum of the red cells in that row. Column clues are the sum of the blue cells in that column.
4) The number in a circled cell is the number of cells in its box with the same color as the cell.

The digits 1 and 9 cannot be a chess knight's move from an identical digit.
The grid is toroidal, which means for the purpose of the antiknight constraint and clues, rows 1/9 and columns 1/9 are adjacent.
Toroidal inverse sandwiches: Clues outside the grid give the sums of the digits that are orthogonally adjacent to either the 1 or 9 in the row or column. The solver must determine which clues are for ones, and which are for nines. Where two clues appear, they give the sums for both the 1 and 9, and the order in which the sums appear. Sums that wrap around the edge are ordered according to where the 1/9 appear. Some clues are replaced with question marks, which represent unknown numbers. Equality signs mean the two clues are equal.
