- Grey lines are between lines. Digits on the lines must lie between the digits in the circles at the ends of the line.
- Blue lines are lockout lines. Digits placed in diamonds must differ by 4 or more and the digits along the attached lines must be higher or lower than the digits in the diamonds.

All Black Jack Cages must have a total score of 21.
Black Jack Cages are similar to Killer Cages, with the exception that a 1 (or "Ace") can be scored either as a 1 or as an 11. Digits (regardless of how they are scored) cannot be repeated within cages. To be clear, you cannot have two 1s in a cage even if you want to score one as an 11 and the other as a 1.
The clue outside of the grid is an X-sum. It shows the sum of the first X digits in the row starting from its side of the grid, where X is the digit in the cell closest to the clue.

Draw a non-intersecting, non-branching loop through the centers of some cells which enters and exits each region exactly once. Within a region, the loop must pass through all moons and no suns, or all suns and no moons. The loop may not pass through the same type of clue in two consecutively used regions.
