The inherent problem I have with Suicide Squad is the reliance on squad-based gameplay. While there's some nice banter between the crew to create some solid characterization, it foregoes a lot of narrative just to jump into wave-based combat.
Especially since this is based in the same world as the Arkham trilogy, you would normally expect some solid storytelling, and I think a lot of the story is super rushed just so the developers could create matchmaking gameplay "repetition." Which, no matter how often developers think this is a great idea, IT IS NOT.
Still, a generally fun game, even if it becomes somewhat forgettable in the grand scheme of things, and ultimately fails to live up to the expectation set by its Rocksteady predecessors.
