Star Wars: Outlaws - The Queue
I hate looking at reviews and comments on games simply because it’s a collage of people hating on content if it doesn’t look good, isn’t long enough, or is one iota different than what they consider “perfect.”
Combine that with the Star Wars fanbase, which is arguably the most toxic fanbase in history, and then you have a subreddit full of people bashing the game 90 days before release (this place exists, and it’s wild).
Truthfully, I’m a huge Star Wars fan, and while I have my own opinion of how Disney has handled the content, and their continued avoidance of the original continued stories (they’re still canon in my mind) I will always be happy to enjoy more Star Wars stories.
Which brings us to Star Wars Outlaws, the first “open world” Star Wars game we’ve ever gotten. And, however they’ve chosen to market the game, it’s fun to just bounce around the universe plugging stormtroopers and earning some credits. That will always be my happy place.
The game is a little rough around the edges, graphically speaking, and I’m not a big fan of the “cinematic view” you have to opt-out of, but the characters are fun, the dialogue is well written, the music is great, and at least the game is giving us another taste of Canto Bight (but not enough AND I should mention I’ve been saying Canto Bight is a huge missed opportunity from “The Last Jedi.” Among many missed opportunities, yes).
Am I upset about anything in Star Wars Outlaws? No. Why would I be? I’m a Star Wars fan, and I will never get angry and toxic over any piece of Star Wars media. Anyone who hated “The Acolyte” can simply turn around and walk away. We don’t need negativity here. Just enjoy Star Wars, enjoy Outlaws, and have a good time in a galaxy far, far away.
Editor's Note: Apologies for the random 30 seconds when OBS decided to stop capturing video WHILE IT WAS RECORDING. Literally had to disconnect the capture card and restart OBS. Gotta love it.
Star Wars Fan's Note: Kinda shitty of the Rebellion to stun Kay and leave her for dead at the hand's of an infamous crime boss right after they manipulated her into freeing a prisoner. Further proof that even the Rebellion wasn't below using dirty tricks to get their way.
