I've mentioned that I like detective stories, right? I think it's come up a few times.

Nobody Wants to Die is a nifty little futuristic noir story that hits all the typical stereotypes, but its Blade Runner style setting creates enough uniqueness that I don't really mind all the cliches.

For an indie game, it also looks fantastic, although it's clear they avoided animating people as much as possible, as the main character, James, is by himself the entire time, communicating via his radio/phone the entire time. BUT, I give full credit to the dialogue, as well, as it feels natural whenever James and Sara are talking.

It's a cool little world, and I'm glad I was able to pick it up. Not a very long game, but it's been tremendous fun exploring the futuristic setting and diving deeper and deeper into the mystery. Kudos to the developer, and I would love to see more things of this nature released in the gaming world.
