Thanks to our sterling performance against the Nanman, fellow horse enthusiast Pairen decided to join up with us. I noticed that Pairen had no white horse fellow with her, Pairen replied that they were all killed in combat. I'm not exactly impressed by this other cavalry commander.

We also confederated with the Chou sisters and many eastern lords. The administrative strain caused a little famine and consequently the yellow rebellion. I would think that the Chou sisters would be able the calm them down, but in the end military suppression was inevitable.

With her prestige at all-time high, Sui's cavalry became an elite force with Qiang hunters and Ba clan elites replacing their old versions. This is the fruit of all our combat experience, and Sui is very proud of that. When I pointed out that her infantry troops are still mediocre dudes who can't even form a wall, she just dismissed my concerns.
