Suitless Brittle Hollow Escape Pod (Outer Wilds)
Suitless Max% has been an academic challenge in the the Outer Wilds speedrunning community for a while. The goal is to get as much of the ship log filled out as possible without ever putting on a space suit. The escape pod rings you get the log from are slightly too far away to reach before suffocating. Therefore, an infinite oxygen source is needed. Due to planetary movement, we need an infinite oxygen source on Brittle Hollow. One such location is the black hole forge. So, first we get a real reel from the Stranger and take it to the forge. Then we get the advanced warp core. Next, we wedge the ship in a specific location so that we can both exit onto the gravity walkway and later reach the ship with a jump. Then, we use the real reel and the warp core to clip out of bounds at the forge. From the out of bounds plane, we do a somewhat janky jump to get back into the ship. Lastly, we fly to the escape pod and get the log. I take the reel with me so that I have the option of doing reel launches after the escape pod and to have as a backup option in case I fall down and can't otherwise reach the ship.
UPDATE: This strat is more powerful than I first realized, as it can be used on any planet. It appears to solve most of the remaining logs, the only exceptions being the core of Giant's Deep and logs from scanning signals (you can't unlock new frequencies without the suit).
