The sun's rays affect your skin through ultraviolet radiation.
If you work outside or will be spending a lot of time outdoors, you need strong protection for your skin.
This short safety training video explains how the sun damages your skin and how to protect yourself.
Makeup does not protect your skin like sunscreen does. UVB rays filter through and cause sunburn. UVA causes deeper, longer term damage, some of which is not reversible.
Radiation from the sun can cause skin damage even on cloudy, cold days. 40% of the sun's skin-damaging rays can reach the earth even on a completely cloudy day! That's enough to cause problems.
Protect your skin and it will protect you!
