Sunak U-Turns on COP27
0By declining to go to the UN COP27 climate change meeting next month, Rishi Sunak has left the door open for a potential U-turn. Sunak won't be attending the COP27 meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh, according to Downing Street, due to "urgent home duties." Emmanuel Macron of France and US President Joe Biden will also be in attendance. Nadine Dorries, a former cabinet minister, says the prime minister is wrong to skip COP. The greatest issue confronting our world is global warming.
Jacob Rees-Mogg, a former business secretary, asserted that Sharm el-Sheikh will not be able to reduce living expenses. According to Michael Gove, the government has done well in its efforts to reach the net zero carbon objective by 2050. Greta Thunberg, a Swedish environmental activist, announced she would not be going to the COP27 meeting.
