Car Bombings Kills 100 in Somalia
0According to the president of Somalia, two vehicle bombings in Mogadishu resulted in at least 100 fatalities. Nearly 300 other individuals, according to President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, were hurt. The truck bombing that left more than 500 dead in 2009 was the bloodiest incident to occur in the nation since then. Al-Shabaab, an extremist organisation, claimed responsibility and said it had targeted the ministry of education. While racing to the scene of the first explosion, one journalist was killed and two others were injured by the second explosion.
It is now unclear how explosives-packed cars managed to reach the prominent spot once more. In a location with several restaurants and hotels, the explosions destroyed tuk-tuks and other cars.
