Like Fighting games…there is a internal stun counter…in dmc5 if you watch carefully(this is not for brea but for the new people)… when the enemies bodies flashing white…as if they was foaming at the mouth(that's MY description)… and most tellingly..lay prone on the floor.

Then they WILL STAY down…you have to hit the enemy A LOT in this game to kill them…this reminiscent of OLD beatem ups like TMNT.


But yea nidhogg…don't fault yourself…I blame Capcom more..

In 4…the enemies were VERY non complex…5's enemies are more in line with Mr. Kamiya's devil may cry to where it goes BEYOND just spazzing buttons( I think about fighting "Shadow" in that game)
