What's this, a Contra game? No sir, I haven't played any of those.

As a sequel to the original Contra, it doesn't quite live up to the first game, but it's still a decent sequel neverthless. The bosses were better in the first game, and the graphics feel a little... lackluster? But in trade, this game is actually a little harder than the first game, as the enemy placement is somewhat more random, and those normal enemies are appearing more frequent, even behind you, as can be witnessed in the second part, at Stage 7.

This could've been a no-dead run if it weren't for those two deaths at Stage 8, but overall it went much. much smoother than Contra 1. By the way, Stage 6 and 7 can go to Hell with a one-way ticket. Especially Stage 7, as the stage was clearly designed with the Spread Gun in mind. If you don't have the Spread Gun, that stage will cause a LOT of truble.
