I like the part of this stage where you can see Dracula's castle in the distance. Every time I play this game, I take a moment to look at it over the horizon. I always thought this stage was weird because the boss is in the middle of the stage, rather then the end. If you call Medusa a boss that is; probably in the running for easiest Castlevania boss in history.

She is a woman with snakes instead of hair, also portrayed as having a serpent tail instead of legs, like the Lamia. She has the power to transform its victims into stone.
