This visual glitch was found by me, and it's easy to perform.

You need to simply first enter any level, hold the cat menu button with one thumb, pause the game with the other thumb and then release the cat button while inside the pause menu.

Leaving the level will cause certain objects on the world map to stop animating properly. (This is most notable with the flying airships, as well as the big airship present in 4-3)
It can be fixed by switching to another world, or going back to the title screen.
